Who We Are
Established in 2006 as an outreach ministry of Hilltop United Methodist Church in Sandy, Utah, the Hilltop Gospel Choir is a community-based choir inclusive of all faiths and cultures, and welcomes all community members to participate through singing, financial support, or volunteering to help fulfill the needs of the organization.
Hilltop Gospel Choir seeks to connect the faithful and spread love through the sharing of gospel music. Gospel music, like no other genre, has the ability to break down the artificial barriers that divide us, such as race and denomination, and inspires people from all walks of life. It possesses the unique ability to connect people of faith while speaking to those who are not part of an established faith tradition, regardless of how their individual life journeys have unfolded.
Since it’s establishment, Hilltop Gospel Choir has lived its mission across the Salt Lake Valley and now boldly seeks to redefine and expand the scope of its mission by carrying its message of love to all people worldwide. We believe that, with God’s help, the fulfillment of this vision is not only possible, but inevitable.

Voices from the Choir: Why I Sing
Singing with Hilltop Gospel Choir has been such a joy. Working alongside such passionate, supportive people and performing for our community has meant more to me than I can fully express. Most of all, it’s given me the opportunity to invite the Spirit in and be part of something greater than myself. Through this choir, I’ve learned discipline, found peace through the anxieties that come with planning fundraisers and events, and grown in my faith that everything will work out the way it’s meant to in the end. – Kelly H.
